Who Are We?
S A Events is a Kent-based technical production company delivering world-class sound, lighting, staging, video and power services across the UK and around the globe.
Our story began more than 30 years ago in the DJ and karaoke industry. From operating out of a garage 25 years ago, S A Events has grown into a full-service production company supporting more than 180 customers each year and holding one of the largest stocks of professional RF equipment in the South East.
From supplying a single technical discipline to designing and managing an entire production, we provide a complete service shaped around the individual needs of every client. Our experienced team can support every stage of the process—from the first ideas and technical designs through to installation, operation and the final get-out.
We pride ourselves on being theatre specialists, with more than 20 years of experience in lighting design, audio production and technical operation for musical theatre. We work with clients at every level, from amateur dramatic societies and dance schools to professional producers and UK touring companies, bringing the same care and high standards to every production.
That theatrical experience runs through everything we do. It has taught us the importance of detail, reliability, collaboration and delivering under pressure—qualities we bring to festivals, corporate events, outdoor productions, equipment hires and installations alike.

Managing Director
Steve Allan
Steve began his career in the DJ and karaoke industry before growing S A Events into the full-service production company it is today.
With more than 30 years of experience, he specialises in professional audio, particularly sound design and operation for theatre and musical productions.
Technical & Production Manager
Dan Stratford
Dan has worked in the industry since the age of 16, building more than 20 years of experience across live events and theatre.
Starting out as a lighting designer, he now works across production management, lighting design and sound engineering, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of S A Events.
Production Engineer & Warehouse Manager
Max Colbran
Max oversees our warehouse and ensures every piece of equipment is thoroughly prepared and ready for each production.
An experienced lighting and sound engineer, he previously worked at the London Palladium and Maidstone’s Hazlitt Theatre before joining the S A Events team.
