Jack and the Beanstalk – EM Forster Theatre, Tonbridge
SA Events was delighted to return to the EM Forster Theatre in Tonbridge, working once again with Wicked Productions on their spectacular production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Our in-house Lighting Designer, Daniel Stratford, has worked with Wicked’s Artistic Director and Producer, Tom Swift, across numerous productions and events over the past 18 years. It was fantastic to continue that long-standing creative partnership and return to the EM Forster Theatre to light this year’s pantomime.
A vibrant and interactive design
Wicked Productions designs and builds its scenery in-house, creating bright, colourful and highly interactive sets that are always a pleasure to work with.

A standout feature of this production was the set’s illuminated portals. These became an integral part of the overall visual design, adding atmosphere to each scene while also creating exciting, dynamic lighting effects throughout the show’s musical numbers.
By carefully integrating the production lighting with the illuminated scenery, we were able to create a cohesive design in which the set and lighting worked together to transform the stage—from the colourful world of the village to the magical land at the top of the beanstalk.
A theatre that feels like home
SA Events works regularly at the EM Forster Theatre throughout the year, supporting Tonbridge School with a wide variety of productions and events.
Our familiarity with the venue allows us to design and deliver each production with a detailed understanding of the theatre and its technical capabilities. With so many happy memories and long-standing working relationships at the venue, returning to the EM Forster always feels like coming home.

We thoroughly enjoyed being part of another fantastic Wicked Productions pantomime and cannot wait to return next year for their production of Cinderella.
